STUDENT SERVICE AGREEMENT
Our goal at Trusted House Student Housing is twofold:
1. To allow students and academics who do not wish to/are unable to live in the dormitories, to enjoy a quality of living which eliminates unnecessary distractions from your studies, research, and work.
2. To help international students and visiting academics experience authentic life in Israel outside of campus.

In order to accomplish these goals, we will ask you some questions about yourself as well as your needs, preferences, and priorities to make sure that our service is as helpful and efficient as possible. Your personal information will be used solely for this purpose and will not be sold to any third parties without your explicit consent. Certain basic pieces of information will be shared with potential roommates, when relevant (see paragraph 5 below for full list). If at any point you feel that the questions you are being asked in our questionnaire or by a Trusted House representative are overly intrusive or make you feel comfortable, please inform us immediately at help@trustedhouse.com.

Our top priority is to provide you with a feeling of safety and comfort during your stay in Israel. We will do best to inspect each property that we rent out, ensuring that it is structurally and functionally sound. Nonetheless, Trusted House is not the owner of the rental properties. Therefore, we cannot take legal or financial responsibility for any damages to property or persons which occur in, or around the rental property. If, however, there are issues in the property that prevent you from reasonably living there and the apartment owner refuses to resolve the issue, you can contact Trusted House to request legal assistance.

Trusted House will do our best to connect you with a home which matches your needs and preferences with the limitation of available apartments at the price point and location which meets your preferences. Therefore, you (and your roommates if relevant) will be sent a potential apartment that meets your needs as closely as possible, according to the timeline below (Paragraph 6).

Should this solution be unsatisfactory, you may request to be sent another option up to two times during the Early and Regular Application periods (see Timeline below).

Should you refuse the third option as well, other potential properties will be sent on the basis of availability after the Late Application period (see Timeline below). Should you refuse all options sent to you, your Deposit will not be refunded.

If, after agreeing to be connected with a property, you decide that it is not a good fit for you, Trusted House cannot break a contract between you and the property owner.

Should you request to be placed with roommates, Trusted House will do our best to match you with individuals who meet your lifestyle and personal needs as accurately as possible. However, we are limited by the information provided to us by them.

Trusted House does not take any responsibility for the behavior of the assigned roommates after the approval.

Should a roommate harm you physically, emotionally, sexually or otherwise, please inform Trusted House after contacting the police.

If you wish to switch roommates during your stay, you may request a transfer from Trusted House. The service will cost 50 euros for each switch and will be performed based on availability.

What may be shared with roommates

Name, sex, country of origin, language, what you will be studying, where you’ll be studying, religious preferences, Shabbat restrictions (if relevant), dietary restrictions, smoking preferences, alcohol preferences, entry/exit dates, how close you want to live to campus, willingness to share a room.

Timeline

The following timeline relates to those who will begin their studies/research/teaching in the Fall semester of 2021

Early Application: March 15 - April 30, 2021

Regular Application: May 1 - July 31, 2021

Late Application: Starting August 1, 2021

Apartment Placement Period: August 1, 2021 - September 1, 2021

If you are not satisfied with your roommate matches, you may request a change within the Apartment Placement Period with an explanation for the requested change. Requests will be honored to the best of our ability based on availability

Pricing

The pricing plans for students are as listed in the chart below (“Index 1”). For a more detailed explanation of each service item please visit our website or contact Trusted House.

The Platinum plan includes one airport pickup directly to the rental apartment provided by Trusted House. Each additional pickup will cost 30 Euro

Applications during the Early Application period will receive a 10% discount on the service.

100 Euros must be paid in order to process the application (“Deposit”).

The rest of the service fee (chosen package cost minus €100) is due upon signing the rental contract. This fee can be split into several payments as needed.

If Trusted House did not provide any housing solutions for applicants who signed up during the Early and Regular Application periods by the end of the Apartment Placement Period, they will receive their Deposit back in full.

If an applicant informs Trusted House that they are no longer are seeking housing solutions through Trusted House, their Deposit will not be refunded.
